Our AAA 8 oz Ahi Tuna steaks are fresh frozen, individually vacuum packed and cut from fresh Yellowfin Tunas caught by hand-line tuna fishermen in small vessels as part of the Indonesian Pole and Line and Hand-line Fisheries Association. We use clean filtered wood smoke for our saku, steaks, and poke to maintain their color and freshness. It starts with coconut husks and wood chips, transformed into ultra-pure smoke in a special, oxygen free environment. Tuna typically has a delicate flavor that isn't too harsh or overpowering and the taste may vary depending on how the meat is prepared. Tuna is like Salmon, it has a very distinct and unique taste which is complete different from any other fish. You can eat it raw as sashimi, sushi or there are an infinite ways you can cook your tuna. It's excellent for grilling as you would any other steak, but just make sure you slightly cook the outside leaving the inside medium rare to rare. Add some soy sauce, toasted sesame seeds and wasabi and enjoy.
